Vision Search & Print UtilityTable of Contents
This utility has 2 primary functions:
Search Attachments or CorrespondenceThis requires the unique patient file identifier that is automatically assigned by the Vision system to every file in a patient record. To find this unique patient file identifier, just open any attachment or letter listed under the miscellaneous filter in a patient record.
Therefore in the image example 00563 identifies the patient and 003 signifies it is the 3rd file that has been saved to the patient record. You now have all the information your require to find all the attachments or letters for the patient using our easy to use search program.
Enter the 5 unique characters in the Document Name text box, then use the drop down list to choose to search and list either the attachments or correspondence and click the Find button. This will now list all the files for that particular patient. You then have the following options in the right mouse menu as shown in the image above... Open File: This will open a selected file in the list that last had focus using the associated program for that particular file extension. If it doesn't open please refer to the FAQ section. Note: Only files that open can be printed. Open Folder: This feature is disabled when searching attachments and correspondence. Otherwise it will open the folder for the file you have selected. Clear Selected File: Will remove only the selected file from the list view. Print Single: Only prints the file in the list that last had focus, i.e. was selected. Note: the document will open first and then print and close thereafter. If it doesn't print it may be because the file has not be associated with a program to open it. In which case please refer to the FAQ section. Print All Selected: Will print all files displayed in the list that have been highlighted, by using either Select All or the standard Microsoft Windows Ctrl or Shift keyboard functions. File Properties: File properties are details that help identify it — for example, a descriptive title, the author name, the subject, and keywords that identify topics or other important information in the file. Clear All: Will clear all the contents of the list and document name field. Select All: Selects all the files remaining in the list view. Search Personal FilesUse the drop down list to select either of the shared drives: G:\ (Global drive) or H:\ (My Documents drive). This choice is restricted to only these shared drives to protect the integrity of the hosted environment. However, if your hosted system uses another personal drive not listed, please email us and we will amend the list.
Correspondence FileThe following image shows exactly what the listed files in our program refer to in a Vision patient record.
AttachmentsThe following image shows exactly what the listed files in our program refer to in a Vision patient record. Please note that the list will not show DocMan attachments, i.e. those with the xxx file extension, as these may be printed very easily within DocMan itself.
