Updated 04/10/2011 - Version 4.6
-
Fixed a problem with Influenza Inactivated Split Virion vaccine
when added to a drug formulary. In that it was selecting the wrong
drug name from the list.
-
Renamed the program executable to "Smart
Flu Clinic", rather than including a version number in the name.
This will save users having to keep changing the shortcuts and
button links on the guidelines page, as it will just overwrite
the older version when downloaded.
Updated 29/09/2011 - Version 4.5
- Added a link to the help menu to go straight to the
download page to get the latest version.
-
Fixed influenza so that you cannot select
a blank drug name when adding a batch number
-
Fixed it from locking up when recording
pneumo with no batch number.
-
Fixed double tip messages on certain
buttons, when not using IOS.
-
Fixed double-click message when using Add
Imm button, which should also stop intermittent freezing.
-
Fixed it so that Smart Flu Clinic will
still work for workstations using large font size.
-
Allowed keyboard Express to co-exist,
although it is not recommended that the 2 should co-exist.
Therefore if you are experiencing any problems in data entry
please terminate keyboard express first before submitting any
assistance requests.
Updated 13/09/2011 - Version 4.4
Welsh IOS Claims
Special risk for pneumococcal has been
removed and replaced with <65 (No IOS). If selected it will not
record an IOS claim, but will add all other immunisation data.
Keyboard shortcuts
We have added shortcut keys for all the checkboxes
Updated 05/09/2011 - Version 4.3
3rd Party Consent
Where a person is providing consent on behalf of the patient to
be immunised.
The immunisation toolbar now includes a 3rd Party Consent tick
for Influenza or Pneumococcal.
This will pause the script while the consent form is open,
allowing you to enter any specific text about the 3rd party consent,
such as the person's relationship to the at risk patient.
When the OK button is pressed to close the Consent form the
script will continue.
Welsh IOS Claims
We have amended the program to accommodate IOS claims in certain
parts of Wales.
You may now add different IOS text for different Routine claims &
Special Risk claims within the setup screen.

The right window section shown above, will only be activated if
you have opted to record IOS Claims as shown below.

Each IOS claim will include the default text description in the
set up screen shown above.
Therefore when recording for a diabetic patient, the claim will
show as: FLU DM
IOS Claim Options:
Two new checkboxes will appear on the immunisation toolbar to
reflect these changes and the recording of IOS claims will be as
follows:
- With no ticks selected; it will always record a
default IOS claim, using the text description of FLU
- If Special Risk is selected; it will
display a list of your previously entered special risk reasons,
and record the IOS claim as a special risk and enter the text
reason after the default FLU text.
-
If At Risk is selected; it will record
the IOS claim as routine (i.e. using the text shown in the right
window area of the setup screen Risk Reasons) and enter the text
reason after the default FLU text.
-
If <65 is selected; it will NOT record an
IOS claim, but will record all other default choices you have
made in your setup screen.
Tool Tips
Fix made to code to show tooltips on certain buttons on the Smart
Flu toolbar.
Updated 25/08/2011 - Version 4.1
Batch numbers now linked to Vaccine
A request for change was submitted, asking if
we could link each batch number to a specific vaccine name, so that
it would issue the correct script depending on which batch number
was selected. This has now been completed.
Within the
setup screen click "Add Vaccines & Batch Numbers" button, then
select a vaccine name and enter the specific batch number for up to
6 vaccines.

When you then hover the mouse over the batch
number drop down list on the Smart Flu Immunisation toolbar it will
display the batch number and associated vaccine, so that you may
select the correct one.

Order of buttons on Immunisation toolbar
We have re-arranged the buttons on the immunisation toolbar into
a more logical order, so that you work down the list. We have also
grouped the No Consent buttons together, so that you do not
inadvertently click them by mistake.
Change to Pneumococcal Immunisation
We have now split the pneumococcal
immunisation
into Adult & Child. This means that when Child is ticked on the main
toolbar it will automatically record the default child pneumococcal
immunisation. Whereas it will use the default Adult pneumococcal
immunisation if left un-ticked.

Minimise
Minimise now appears in the File menu
Blank batch numbers
We have also allowed users to select a blank
batch number from the drop down list on the Immunisation toolbar. This feature will produce
various outcomes depending on the default settings you have
selected.
For example:
-
If IOS has been setup to record as
default, it will not let the user record an immunisation without
a batch number, as no IOS claim can be made without one.
-
However, for pneumococcal; if Child is
selected; it will provide an option to record a single episode
immunisation and batch number, which may not have been entered
in the
normal default list within the setup screen.
-
It will also retain the last
recorded batch number in this screen, for future multiple vaccine use.

-
If IOS is not selected in the setup
screen, it will record immunisations without batch numbers.
-
If the option to issue a script is
selected in the setup screen, it will display a message prompt
asking the user if they want to record a script. if they select
yes it will display a drop down list of vaccines for the user to
select and then subsequently record.

- This is because of the new change whereby we have linked
batch numbers and vaccines together, therefore with no batch
number selected the program doesn't know what script to record.
