Download and Installation Instructions

IMPORTANT Information

INPS have now approved the sale of Smart Priority Numbers, but have not had sufficient time to test it on a VES environment, therefore until it has been VES tested it has not been approved for use on a remote server solution.

Additionally INPS do NOT support Smart Priority Numbers, all support must come through TailorMade IT Solutions Limited by emailing support@tailormadeit.co.uk

Please note once again that Smart Priority Numbers cannot currently be used on a managed remote server environment (VES, WES, Bureau, CCA etc...), i.e. you must maintain your own server within the practice to use Smart Priority Numbers as it needs to run an installation wizard which cannot be run on a managed remote server.

To download and install Smart Priority Numbers please follow these instructions.

1. Click the green download button above to start the download.
2. When the File Download dialog box appears click the “Save” button.
3. When the Save As dialog box appears choose a folder location and save the file to a known location on your computer, for example, to your Desktop.
4. Wait for the file to download and then close all applications including the browser.
5. Double-click on the saved file icon (SPN-Setup.exe) to start the installation process.
6. Follow the prompts within the installer to complete the installation of Smart Priority Numbers .
7. By default it will install into O:\Program\SmartPN
8. When first opening Smart Priority Numbers it will need a valid Vision username and password entered to verify that it can locate the Vision data. You should ideally set up a new user in Vision before opening Smart Priority Numbers reference the instructions found on the FAQ page
9. Once installed, double-click Smart Priority Numbers to open it
10. Enter the licence details exactly as provided in your welcome email. You may find it easier to copy and paste the licence key details. Click Validate to finish and Smart Priority Numbers is ready to be used.
11. You may want other users to access Smart Priority Numbers from their workstation, in which case create a shortcut from SmartPN.exe on each workstation desktop you wish to use it on. To do this; be on the users desktop you wish to create the shortcut on and right mouse click on SmartPN.exe and select Send To > Desktop (create Shortcut). You may also wish to create a button in a guideline within Vision Consultation Manager for easy access.
12. View the introduction web page for further instructions on using Smart Priority Numbers.

Note: You may have to download and install the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Visual FoxPro (VfpOleDB.dll) on each workstation you want to use Smart Priority Numbers. Download and save it to a shared folder to make it easier to install on each workstation. Alternatively run SPN-Setup.exe installation wizard on each workstation.

Default Database Download

Included in the new 1.25 version is a default list of Read codes as shown below, this provides a ready-made practice protocol should you wish to adopt it, which means that you can start bulk changing all the priorities numbers with immediate effect.

• All QOF Register Read codes - Priority 1
• IM&T DES - Priority 2
• Operations, Procedures, Sites - Priority 4
• Past Medical History - Priority 5
• QOF Clinical Summary - Priority 6
• Referrals - Priority 8
• Administration Codes - Priority 9

If you have already installed Smart Priority Numbers you may just wish to download the database only.

We recommend that you save a copy of your existing database in O:\Program\SmartPN, should you wish to revert back to it at anytime.

Please note: that the default set of batched Read codes have been added under the SYS account, which means that you will have to login to Vision (or Smart Priority Numbers) under this account to access these newly saved Read codes in Smart Priority Numbers.
