How to restore the DXS connection

If for some reason DXS has disappeared altogether, you can try a few things to restore the connection
  1. Open My Computer
  2. Double-click the Vision O:\ drive
  3. Double-click the Program folder to open it
  4. Scroll down and locate the UNCStub.exe file
  5. Double-click this file
  6. Then open Vision > Management Tools > Control Panel
  7. Select File Maintenance >  Actions menu
  8. Click DXS Bulk Update

Alternatively:

From the Server only

  1. Click the Start button > Control Panel or Programs > Administrative Tools
  2. Double-click the Services icon
  3. Scroll down to the Firebird Server and conform that the status is Started
  4. If not double-click the Firebird Server to open it
  5. Click the Start button located under Service status
  6. Press OK

For DXS to appear in the Consultation Manager you may need to tick the DXS box in the Staff area of the Control Panel, located on the Professional tab for each staff member.

In Security, all System Managers are automatically administrators for DXS.
